Launch Checklist

Follow these milestones when you first receive VReps access. Each step links to a detailed guide if you need screenshots or advanced tips.

1. Confirm Locale & Branding

  • Visit /{locale} in the marketing site to make sure the default locale matches your teams.
  • Use the language selector in the header to switch if needed; this automatically updates the coach portal and player app.
  • Check that the correct branding (Jr. NBA or VReps) appears in the header before inviting staff.

2. Secure Administrator Access

  1. Log into the Coach Portal with the credentials provided by the onboarding team.
  2. Open Settings → Organization Profile to verify contact details and time zone.
  3. Invite at least one backup admin so critical actions are never blocked behind a single account.

3. Create or Claim a Team

  • Head to Coach Portal → Teams → Create Team and follow the team creation guide.
  • If your organization was pre-seeded, select the existing team and verify roster accuracy before continuing.
  • Assign the correct staff role (Admin, Coach, Contributor) to everyone who will build content.

4. Explore Starter Content

  • Browse Content → Plays and Content → Lessons to review the prebuilt Jr. NBA curriculum.
  • Favorite a handful of plays or lessons that match your next practice so you can find them quickly.
  • Use the play creation guide to sketch a simple drill and test the autosave banner.

5. Establish Lesson Flow

  • Walk through the lesson builder guide and publish a draft lesson.
  • Confirm media uploads, assessments, and prerequisites render correctly in the live preview.
  • Add tags and difficulty level as described in Tagging & Search so staff can find it later.

6. Share Your First Assignment

  • Choose whether to publish to the team library or deliver a targeted assignment (see Share Content).
  • Send a test notification to coaches and verify it appears in the activity feed.
  • Ask a trusted player to complete the assignment, then review analytics under Team → Activity.

7. Lock In Ongoing Operations

  • Review Manage a Team to learn how to rotate seasons, archive players, and track engagement.
  • Schedule a recurring check-in to ensure staff keep permissions up to date and content libraries tidy.
  • Bookmark this support site or add it to your internal wiki so new coaches can self-serve answers.

Tip: Capture screenshots or 30‑second clips while you complete each step. They make great visuals for future training decks and localized documentation.
